The Left-Handed Guitar Players That Changed Music By John Engel
PASKAL JAKOBSEN

Plays Guitar Left Handed with default stringing.
In band(s) : BLØF

Paskal Jakobsen is the lead singer with Bløf, Holland’s premier pop-rock band. Part of his band’s huge success in the Netherlands stems from their Dutch lyrics, which is also why their music has not been heard beyond that nation’s borders. But Bløf is a very potent pop-rock group – charismatic and joyful performers who produce emotional, catchy, and tastefully produced songs.

Jakobsen’s guitar playing has always been secondary to the crafting – and singing – of songs. Bløf’s music illustrates Jakobsen’s own taste for hook-driven, finely chiseled pop tunes.

He is quick to downplay his aptitude on guitar, yet his tone is well defined and his melodic riffs are essential components to the atmosphere of Bløf’s songs. If his warm, emotive voice lets you know that the singing is where he bares his soul, then his guitar provides its safety net.
